Carers Week 2022
6th - 12th June
Carers Week celebrates and recognises the vital contribution made by the UK's unpaid carers. This year's theme is making carers feel visible, valued and supported.
Carers’ Hub is taking this theme to heart. We are planning multiple events to make carers visible across the week.

What we are doing

Valued

With our successful bid from the King's Civic Challenge, we are co-designing a Young Carers Card with young carers.

New for Carers Week
Caring for a loved one, family member, friend or neighbour can significantly impact a carer's wellbeing. Everyone at Carers' Hub Lambeth are passionate about ensuring carers get time for themselves.
This week we're launching a blog promoting carers' mental health. In this blog, we explore how Carers’ Hub is supporting carers with their mental health and wellbeing, and why this is so important. Check out the blog to read about activities that are happening through Carers’ Hub and how you can get involved, plus some practical tips that can be practised to help promote mental wellbeing.
30% of carers said their mental health was bad or very bad.

For Carers Week, we are also sharing our brand new video which looks at supporting carers' wellbeing
The COVID-19 pandemic meant that unpaid carers were faced with many new challenges, often placing a strain on their own mental health and wellbeing. In response to this, the Better Mental Health Fund enabled Carers' Hub to offer additional wellbeing activities for carers in Lambeth.

About Carers Week
Carers Week is an annual campaign brought to life by thousands of individuals and organisations who come together to provide support for carers, run activities, highlight the vital role carers play in our communities and draw attention to just how important caring is.
Carers’ Hub will be one of those organisations that raise awareness of the vital contribution carers bring to Lambeth, and bring carers together to share, create and have fun.
