The Malnutrition Project

Can you help with a research project?

Are you over the age of 60 living in Lambeth & Southwark?

The Malnutrition Project would like to invite you to take part in a research project. The main purpose of the study is to better understand the impact of nutrition on people’s health. We want to find out if there are any differences between the malnourished and the well-nourished so we will look at how nutrition affects:

1. Quality of life (how people feel about their life)
2. Ability to do everyday activities such as shopping or cooking
3. Muscle strength and ability to move around
4. How often people see their GP and/or go to hospital
5. Healthcare costs

All we need you to do is to agree to take part in an interview conducted by a researcher at a location that is convenient for you. This may be at your home, your local clinic or at our office at Dulwich hospital. We don’t need you to make any changes to your diet, take any medication or keep a food diary. We will contact you 4 times over the next 12 months to go through a questionnaire with you. The interview should take no longer than 1 hour. Easy!

If you want to be involved with this research and would like to help then contact us and we will be happy to provide you with as much information as you need to decide if you want to take part.
