Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

Interested in reducing your stress through mindfulness? The London Centre for Mindfulness offers morning and evening Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Courses courses. Ongoing drop-in classes are available to course graduates. The London Centre for Mindfulness is able to offer one bursary place to a carer.

The evidence base on MBSR shows significant positive effects amongst participants suffering from chronic pain, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, generalised anxiety disorder and panic, psoriasis and cancer. Additionally there is also evidence based on health care providers who have gone through the MBSR process themselves. There is a host of academic work that attests to the effectiveness of the MBSR programme. More than 100 papers have been written which indicate that the effects are relatively long lasting especially if post course group practice is also offered.
