Event Invitation: Promoting Black Mental Wellbeing

Date: Thursday 23rd April, 11am-2pm (lunch to be provided)

Location: Mosaic Clubhouse, 65 Effra Road, Brixton, London, SW2 1BZ

Join us on 23rd April to build on the recommendations of the Black Health and Wellbeing Commission (BHWC) and discuss how to turn the ambitions of the report into action.

We want to develop a response that delivers early intervention to more people to achieve mental wellbeing and avoid distress. The event will bring together a range of community leaders, mental health professionals, commissioners, service users and carers. It will be solution-focused rather than problem-focused.  We want to work with you to come up with a shared understanding of success, how that could be delivered and what you would do tomorrow to improve outcomes.

This event is the first of a series of events designed to involve the wider community to help shape a response that can improve mental health outcomes for the black community. We will hold three events before September 2015, when we plan to start making the response a reality.

If you are able to attend the event please register your interest through our Eventbrite link here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/promoting-black-mental-wellbeing-in-lambeth-tickets-16411263531
