Mental Health Carers’ Service

We provide general information, advice, emotional support and guidance around your role in caring for someone with a mental illness. With our knowledge of local organisations providing specialist support, we can sign-post or refer you where necessary.

  •     Look at how you can look after your own needs and wellbeing.
  •     We can provide resources and space to discuss a recent diagnosis.
  •     We will work with you to ensure your views are heard.
  •     We can offer some practical help and help you access more specialist advice or support.

Support can be offered face-to-face or by telephone depending on what best meets your current circumstances.

Wednesday Talks

The talks are a chance for those caring for someone with a mental illness to meet others who carry out a similar role, and to share experiences and knowledge. A guest speaker also attends, offering their insight on subjects fitting to mental health carers.

The talks are normally the first Wednesday of each month at the Mosaic Clubhouse. Spaces are limited so please contact me before attending. You can sign up to our email list to get emails before every Wednesday Talk with full information.
