Carers Employment Support Worker
£27,945 pro rata for 21 hours per week
Caring for someone with a disability or illness can have a major impact on their ability to find work or continue in employment. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a new specialist service which aims to actively support family carers seeking or maintaining employment through the recruitment of volunteer mentors. You will work with employers raising awareness of carers needs as employees and need to be able to provide one to one support as well as recruit, and manage a team of volunteers. Based at our Hub office in Streatham you will be working within a team that is part of a web of support for carers in the community. You should have experience of developing projects or services, an understanding of employment law, the constraints affecting employers and the needs of carers as well as, experience of managing staff or volunteers.
