Volunteer with the Hub

Volunteers already play an important part in supporting the work of the Hub. We are creating positive opportunities for carers and former carers to work with us as volunteers to meet and help other carers and learn new skills. However, you don't have to be a carer or former carer to volunteer with us.
We provide full training and support and a friendly working environment.
If you want to discuss the possibility of volunteering for Carers’ Hub Lambeth please contact connect@carershub.org.uk, 020 7501 8974 or alternatively take a look at the roles we are currently recruiting for below:

We are currently recruiting...

Community Connectors for the Older Carers Peer Support Project

The Project

With the help of volunteers, we aim to set up and facilitate (for up to 12 months per group), small peer to peer support groups for older carers across Lambeth and the South West London, to provide emotional support, friendship, information and signposting. Anyone that joins a group will automatically become a member of the Carers Hub and we will keep in touch with them for as long as they need us (or for up to a year after their caring role finishes), via our newsletters, communications and invites to Carers Hub Lambeth Carer Forums and other events.

Vounteer Community Connectors

Volunteers will aid the project by facilitating the groups.  Activities will include helping decide on venues and meeting points, letting members know times and dates of groups, attending the groups as the main facilitator and leading discussions.   With the support of the project lead, volunteers will also help to distribute Carers Hub information and help signpost back to the Hub or to external agencies and organisations that may be able to offer assistance and services to older carers.  We ask that you commit to volunteering for six months, attend a minimum of one group a month and take part in the compulsory induction and training sessions.
